Paul McCartney talks Afrobeat icon Fela Kuti

    • Paul McCartney, one of The Beatles’ lead singers talks about the originator of the Afrobeat genre Fela Anikulapo Kuti aka Baba 70.

    He recalls his experience in Lagos while recording one of his albums and hanging out with Fela at the African shrine. Mr McCartney definitely had respect for Fela musically.

    Fela would have turned 75 years old on October 15 if he were still alive. Thank God his music lives on.
