The minister showing the state of her own village in Akili, Anambra State, posted the photos on her Facebook page. The flood, which began in September after the Lagdo Dam in Northern Cameroon broke, has displaced over 50, 000 people and has killed about over 100 people.
President Goodluck Jonathan made an emergency broadcast this morning where he directed the release of billions of Naira to several flood-raved states in Nigeria. Aliko Dangote and others have also donated to flood victims.
