Sunderland Signs in Johnson and Fletcher

 

Manchester City's England winger Adam Johnson and Wolverhampton Wanderers' Scotland striker Steven Fletcher have joined Sunderland on four-year deals, the Premier League club announced on Friday.
Johnson, 25, had been a bit-part player for the champions last term and was mainly restricted to substitute appearances, meaning he missed out on England's Euro 2012 squad.
However, he started in this month's 2-1 friendly win over Italy to pick up his 11th cap.
"Adding quality players to the squad has been our main aim this summer and Adam certainly fits that bill," Sunderland's ambitious manager Martin O'Neill said on the club's website (www.safc.com)
"He has terrific ability, great delivery and I'm sure he is a player who will excite our fans. I couldn't be more delighted to have him at the football club."

9ice: I'm Done With Marriage!

Popular singer Abolore Akande Adigun otherwise known as 9ice, recently revealed he has no plans of marrying again after he separated from his wife, Toni Payne, in 2010.
The former ‘Coded Tunes’ artiste revealed this on a popular TV programme, Teju Babyface show, in Nigeria, where he was a guest.
When asked about his marriage plans, 9ice declared that he would not marry again after his first marriage with Toni Payne reportedly crashed.
He was asked, “Will you marry again?” 9ice simply answered, “No.”
Speaking on life after separation from his wife, the ‘Gongo Aso’ crooner told Teju that, “I am okay, I have gotten over it. For me right now, I think it is a past thing. I have moved on and I am enjoying my life.”

CBN [Central Bank Of Nigeria] To Introduce N5000 Note

 The Central Bank of Nigeria yesterday, announced that it will introduce the N5, 000 note into the system, but contrary to speculations that CBN planned to use Nigeria's late former president, Umar Musa Yar'adua's face on the note, it has now been announced that the faces of three late prominent Nigerian female activists will be used on the new notes which will be launched in 2013

Updated: Cynthia Osokogu's killers Are Police Parade - They Narrate How They Raped And Killed Her

Two murder suspects who were paraded today by the Lagos State Police Command, Ikeja, Echezona Nwabufor, 33, and Ezekiel Nnechuwu Olisa Eloka, 23, have narrated how they drugged the daughter of a retired General, Miss Cynthia Akuzogwu Udoka, 25, and strangled her in order to steal her money.

One of the suspects, Eloka, said they killed Cynthia because they thought she had a lot of money in her possession. But after the dastardly act, they did not find a reasonable amount of money on her.

According to the suspects, “we met her on the facebook on our Blackberry. We invited her to come to Lagos to buy goods at cheap prices.
