Man rapes own mother in Ekiti State, Nigeria

Akintunde Omoteinde, a 27 year old man, is currently standing trial for allegedly raping his own mother. The  incident happened on August 23 at their residence at the Ajebamidele area of Ado Ekiti in Ekiti State.

A resident of the area who spoke with a Punch reporter said:

“The news was shocking. Not many of us believed the story at first but the truth cannot be hidden for too long. The woman, a petty trader, was said to have been raped by her son. She was badly injured and was rushed to the hospital for medical attention.

"I can tell you that the family is presently living in shame. We hear that the family members are planning to move out of the house but we cannot confirm that.”

The accused young man was in court this past Tuesday and was remanded in prison custody until October 16th, when the case comes up again for hearing. Rape your own mother? Unbelievable!
