Cristiano Ronaldo always has to one-up or up-set someone. This time it was his own teammates.

While the rest of the Real Madrid players labored during the routine warm-up, Ronaldo seemingly felt the old-fashioned way of doing push-ups was beneath him and showed off his power by doing 15 clapping push-ups.

Coach Appiah sacks Muntari and Kevin-Prince Boateng from World Cup camp

Black Stars Coach Kwesi Appiah has thrown out Kevin Prince Boateng and Sulley Muntari of Ghana’s 2014 World Cup camp in Brasilia.

Muntari, who will miss the final Group G match against Portugal after picking up two yellow cards in the previous two games against USA and Germany, is reported to have slapped Black Stars Management Committee member Moses Armah Parker of Medeama SC after a heated argument.

Kevin Prince Boateng, who earlier criticized Coach Kwesi Appiah’s starting lineup in the opening group match against USA and later had an altercation with the former Asante Kotoko Head Coach at a Black Stars training session, has also been sent packing due to his unruly behaviour exhibited in camp.

Cristiano Ronaldo declared World's Richest Footballer with €148m

Today Monday March 10th, popular football website Goal.com released their Rich List and declared Real Madrid and Portugal striker Cristiano Ronaldo as the richest active footballer in the world.

The World Footballer of the Year held off rival Lionel Messi in the 2014 Goal Rich List with an estimated wealth of €148million. Retired footballer David Beckham was the 2013 Goal Rich List winner but since he's retired from football, he's no longer eligible to be put in the list.

Messi comes second with an estimated net worth of €146million followed by Eto'o with €85million then Wayne Rooney with €84million, and Kaka rounds off the top 5 with €82million.

But Goal made it clear that the list is based on the revenue of active players over the course of their entire careers and not just the previous year. See the top 10 richest footballers below.

Checkout The Vagina Stadium: Design for Qatar's World Cup purpose-built stadium released

The design for the 1st of a series of new stadiums built for Qatar's 2022 world cup hosted tournament has been released. and obviously..lol it looks like a Vagina. (Pictured above). This is actually a virtual rendering of the fully air conditioned 40,000-capacity Al-Wakrah stadium which will be completed by 2018.

The architects are a little embarrassed that their design looks kinda like a vagina. They said the multi-billion dollar stadium is designed to resemble the sails of a dhow boat which is traditionally used for pearl fishing by Qataris...and not a vagina! See a video design of the stadium below

Sports: Chelsea Star Frank Lampard Believes Men And Women Will One Day Play Together

Blues legend foresees co-ed future for the game.

Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard has revealed that he believes that men and women will one day play alongside each other as the game continues to develop, the Mirror reports.

The 35-year-old appeared on popular ITV chat show Loose Women to promote his new series of children’s books that are due for release later this year where he was quizzed on a number of subjects.

And when asked about whether men and women could eventually play alongside each other he said; ”I see no reason why not, how the game has developed in women’s football in the last five to 10 years has been amazing.

“We were [previously] dinosaurs in the dressing room, it was a man’s game, but now we appreciate the skill in women’s football.”

A woman very nearly did play the men’s game just a decade ago when Italian club Perugia, then in Serie A, signed Swedish forward Hanna Ljungberg, in a move that would have made her the first woman to compete in men’s football.

Perugia president Luciano Gaucci, who was also responsible for bringing Colonel Ghaddafi’s son and Jay Bothroyd to the club, had spotted that there were no official rules preventing a woman from turning out for a men’s team and pounced to sign her during one particularly stringent goal drought.

Lionel Messi arrives in court for tax fraud case

The 4-times FIFA footballer of the year and his father Jorge arrived in a Spanish court this morning Friday September 27th to answer charges of alleged tax fraud. Messi and his father are being accused of hiding over £3.4 million by filing incomplete tax returns from 2006 to 2009.

The charges against father and son was lodged by a state prosecutor in June 2013 claiming that they tried to conceal earnings from Messi's image rights - charges they both deny.

"I never take care of that (tax) stuff myself and neither does my father," Messi said in July. "We have our lawyers and our wealth managers to take care of that and we trust them and they will sort this out. The truth is I don’t have a clue about all this and that is why we have people taking care of it."

Messi has already paid the Spanish authorities the unpaid tax he's owing plus interest (he paid £4.2m) but because tax fraud is a serious offense in Spain, he still has to make an appearance in court where the courts will determine whether the case is pursued any further. Hopefully it will all end today!

[Photos] Ronaldinho pays $58,000 to get his teeth fixed

2-time FIFA World Player of the Year winner (2004/ 2005) Ronaldinho has changed his mind and finally gotten it fixed, after years of refusing to fix his crooked teeth, saying his fans loved his trademark grin.  The Brazilian football superstar paid $58,000 to have his teeth realigned, and gums altered.

Ronaldinho had the procedure at an orthodontic clinic in Brazil last month but the photos and video of the surgery were only released to the public two days ago. See the more photos below;

Robin Van Persie says he's a fan of P-Square's music (Watch Interview)

Man United forwad, Robin Van Persie, during a chat with football legend Paddy Creramd,  talked about playing for the English club, working with Sir Alex Ferguson and much more. When asked what he does off the pitch, like what kind of music he listens to, RVP said:

"I like to listen to music. ..all sorts honestly. I can listen to dutch songs, English songs..whatever...if the tune is good I like it."

When asked who in particular he likes, he replied "Michael Jackson, Usher, P-Square...all sorts honestly.

Real Madrid's play-maker Ozil Joins Arsenal as Club's highest paid at £140,000-a-week

Mesut Ozil arrives at Arsenal as their record signing - for £42.5 million.

The Daily Mail says the Gooners contributed to a record-breaking £500million transfer window bonanza to lure the Germany midfielder from Real Madrid. Ozil’s fee eclipses the £17.5m Arsenal paid for Jose Antonio Reyes in January 2004.

Arsenal have also made the 24-year-old their highest-paid player with a five-year deal worth around £140,000 a week.

His capture means the club have kept their promise of landing a high-profile signing after failed attempts with Luis Suarez, Wayne Rooney, Karim Benzema and Gonzalo Higuain.

Watch FIFA 14 trailer - as it steals show at Gamescom

EA Sports made a number of big announcements at their Gamescom press conference - but it was a new FIFA 14 trailer which stole the show.

Fans were made to wait until the later stages of the Electronic Arts showcase, but it was certainly worth it with an epic trailer which has only heightened the anticipation for the new game.

Indeed, it felt more like a sneak peak at a mega-movie blockbuster than a computer game, but such is the demand for this new game that it was anything but over the top.
General public demo opportunities become available on September 10th and 11th, before the launch on September 24th in north America and September 27th in Europe.
Turning attention back to the demo itself, and Neymar Jr plays a prominent part in the footage, as do Spurs as a whole. There's also a fine volley from Robin Van Persie, and a decent save from Joe Hart on offer.
But, it's not the individual touches that make this trailer brilliant - more the general look and feel of the game.

Neymar must gain weight, says Barcelona doctor

The Catalans' medical staff believes it would benefit the player if he added a few more kilos ahead of the 2013-14 season
Barcelona doctor Ricard Pruna says Neymar must gain weight in order to reach his peak physical condition.
The Brazil international passed his Barca medical earlier this month to complete his €57 million transfer from Santos, but the Catalans' club doctor feels it would be in the attacker's best interest to add a few kilos ahead of the 2013-14 campaign.
"My first impression is that Neymar needs to gain a pound or two. Our medical inspection was done quickly and his weight is just another data point," Pruna was quoted as saying on the club's official website.
"We’ll get to know the player over the course of the season and we’ll constantly add to our data input. With this information we’ll know what his ideal weight should be.
"The first impression is that he weighs 64.5 kilos and he has a tendency to lose weight. Perhaps he needs to add a kilo or two, but I can’t say exactly how many."
The 21-year-old has impressed at the Confederations Cup so far, netting two goals in as many games to help Brazil to the semi-finals.

[Sport] John Obi Mikel agrees move to Galatasaray

According to reports, Mikel Obi has agreed to join Turkish champions Galatasaray, this summer.

Bulent Tulun, who is Gala’s sporting director, confirmed that the Nigerian midfielder, has agreed in principle to move to the club.

Foremost analyst and FIFA instructor, Colin Udoh, who spoke to Obi and his agent, John Shittu, also tweeted: “My take from that Mikel convo is that if Chelsea and Gala agree, he will not be averse to a move if the money is right”
Obi is expected to replace Brazilian midfielder Felipe Melo, who is expected to leave the club.

It is left to be seen, if Jose Mourinho – who converted Obi to a deep-lying midfielder in his first tenure – sees him as a vital component to his team, or will allow him leave Stamford Bridge.

Justin Gatlin beats Usain Bolt in 100m Rome Golden Gala race

US racer, Justin Gatlin beats six-time Olympic champion Usain Bolt in the men's 100 metres race at the Rome Golden Gala, Diamond League. Justin beat Usain by one-hundredth of a second, that's like 1% of a second. He actually had to dip his head over the line to win in 9.94 seconds. Usain came in 9.95.

Usain was making his first appearance in the Diamond League this season since his recent recovery from a hamstring injury. Usain explained what happened to him:

"I got the perfect start that I wanted, then about five steps in I stumbled a bit and that kind of threw my game off. My legs didn't feel like my legs coming into the straight. I guess I need to do more strength work. I think I just need time to get it back together but the fact I got a good start threw me off. At least I got under 10 seconds.
"It is always a good thing to lose. You can figure how to step it up. I knew I wasn't in great shape but I'm not worried. It takes time to get back into shape and I didn't expect much from this race." 

Usain's next race will be in the men's 200m in next Thursday's Diamond League meeting in Oslo.

David Beckham is one player we won’t mind playing forever. The amazing super-stardom footballer, Beckham is possibly Football’s only Rock-star.

He has announced his retirement following the League Title win with French club, Paris Saint-German. His major feats include: captaining his country with a total of 115 caps, playing with the biggest clubs from Manchester United to Real Madrid to LA Galaxy and being celebrated as a champion in four different countries.

I'm thankful to PSG for giving me the opportunity to continue but I feel now is the right time to finish my career, playing at the highest level. If you had told me as a young boy I would have played for and won trophies with my boyhood club Manchester United, proudly captained and played for my country over one hundred times and lined up for some of the biggest clubs in the world, I would have told you it was a fantasy. I'm fortunate to have realised those dreams.

Man United defender Rio Ferdinand retires from international football

After 16 years of playing for England, Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand, has announced his retirement from International football to concentrate on his club career. Ferdinand started playing for England in 1997. The footballer explained why he quit England in a statement released today:

'After a great deal of thought, I have decided the time is right for me to retire from international football. At the age of 34, I feel it is right for me to stand aside and let the younger players come through, which allows me to concentrate on my club career. 

'The team looks in great shape and there is an influx of young, talented players coming through the ranks which bodes well for the future.
